Gary Underwood

Practicing law for over 25 years and has practiced debt collections and bankruptcy for more than 20 years. Education achievements include a degree from University of Missouri at Columbia (B.A., 1967) and University of Missouri - Kansas City (J.D., 1972), with memberships in Phi Delta Phi. He served full-time active duty for the U.S. Army in Germany (1967-1969), honorably discharged with rank of Major. Gary is licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois. Professional memberships include the Bar Association of St. Louis (Secretary of Young Lawyers Section, 1977-1978; member of at large, Young Lawyers Section 1980-1981; member, Bankruptcy Committee); The Missouri Bar; the American Bar Association; the Gateway Credit Association (Board of Directors, 1994-1998); and Commercial Law League of America ("CLLA") (Midwest Section Executive Council, 1992-1996; Creditor's Rights Section Executive Council, 1994-1998; 1st Vice President, 1999-2000; Chairman Midwest Section 2000-2001; Midwest Section Secretary, 1996-1997; 2nd Vice President, 1997-1998; Board Certified Creditor's Rights Specialist, Certification accredited by the American Bar Association). All practice areas include commercial and retail collection, creditor's rights, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and business law.
