Glenda Underwood
Office Administrator and Collections Manager, has over 20 years experience in
retail and commercial collections and law office administration. Spent 14 years
at Smith Debnam Law Firm in Raleigh, North Carolina (1977-1991), the largest
collections firm in the state, spending her last six years as Collections
Manager with a staff of 13 lay personnel and three firm associate lawyers.
Glenda has worked at the Underwood Law Firm in her present position since 1991.
Professional memberships include past president of the Paralegal Association in
North Carolina; former member of the CLLA (1985-1999) and prior Co-Vice Chairman
of the Legal Administrators Committee (1994-1997); and Convention Chairman of
the Missouri Collectors Association, Inc. (1992-2001). In her community, her
civic positions include member of the Women of St. Roch Church (1995-2001),
Chairman of Christmas Families of Grace United Methodist Church, member of the
Finance Committee (1993-1997), and
committee member of Project Angel Tree (1994-1997).
Both Underwood's hold memberships in the Skinker-Debaliviere Neighborhood
Community Council, where Glenda was a board member (1996-1997); St. Louis Zoo
Friends, and the Missouri History Museum. Together, the Underwood's bring over
40 years of debt collections experience to the Firm and a deep commitment to St.
Louis and Southern Illinois.
